The Prosecutor General has requested the Criminal Court to charge three individuals after the murder of Abdul Rahman Adam in his home in Alifu Alifu Maalhos.
Abdul Rahman was attacked on the night of 13th July while he was sleeping in his own bed. He was declared dead on arrival at the Health Center on the island.
Today, the Prosecutor General's Office said that it would be charging three individuals for the crime. The individuals include Ahmed Ashid, Mohamed Visam, and Ahmed Faris. All three are 27 years old and are from Alifu Alifu Maalhos.
Ahmed Ashid is charged with intentional homicide using a dangerous weapon under Section 5 of the Prohibition of Intimidation, Possession of Dangerous Weapons and Sharp Objects Act.
The prosecutor's office said Mohammed Wissam and Ahmed Faris are charged with participating in intentional homicide using a dangerous weapon under Article 5 of the Prohibition of Intimidation, Possession of Dangerous Weapons and Sharps Act.
Abdul Rahman was first seen by his wife, Nazima, after being severely injured.
