President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has reiterated the Administration’s commitment to equitable development, affirming that previously overlooked islands and communities are now receiving the due attention they deserve.
The President said this at the “Dhiveheenge Raajje” gathering, hosted by the People’s National Congress (PNC) at Malé’s Artificial Beach to commemorate the second anniversary of his Administration.
The President emphasized the Government’s commitment to fostering a healthy, mindful, and inclusive society through targeted initiatives aimed at strengthening both preventive and curative healthcare services. He also highlighted efforts to instil patriotism and civic responsibility through strategic reforms in the national education system.

He emphasised that Malé and the outer islands hold equal significance in the national development agenda. He outlined ongoing decentralisation and empowerment programmes, including initiatives to expand access to affordable housing, promote inclusive development, and foster regional equity. The President also highlighted strategic efforts to accelerate socio-economic development in Addu, the nation’s second most populous region.
