Firework displays have been planned in Addu Meedhoo and Addu Hulhudhoo to celebrate the historic victory to separate from the Addu City council in the referendum held in the city yesterday.

News has spread that MP for Hulhudhoo Constituency, Mohamed Shahid, and the MP for Meedhoo Constituency, Abdul Rahman, have joined hands to arrange a fireworks display in the islands tonight.

The display is set to kick off at 08:00 pm at the Hulhumeedhoo Central Harbor.
