President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has commenced a three-day visit to the inhabited islands of Laamu Atoll.

During the visit, the President will meet with Island Councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDCs) to discuss local development priorities and explore ways to further enhance community welfare. He will also engage directly with residents to learn about their needs and concerns.

The President’s itinerary includes visits to eleven islands: Isdhoo, Kalaidhoo, Dhan’bidhoo, Maabaidhoo, Mundoo, Gan, Maavah, Fonadhoo, Maamendhoo, Hithadhoo, and Kunahandhoo.

This visit is part of the President’s nationwide initiative to visit all Maldivian atolls, strengthening direct engagement with atoll, island, and city councils to drive development across the country.

The President is accompanied by Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from key Government institutions.
