President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has paid tribute to educators on World Teachers' Day, stating that teaching is a noble and honourable profession whose value transcends material wealth.
In a message posted on his official X account, he noted that the dedication of educators represents an invaluable service – one that benefits both this world and the hereafter.
He emphasised that through their guidance, education, and care, teachers play a vital role in shaping today's students into the future leaders and changemakers the country aspires to see.
The President reaffirmed the Government's commitment to supporting teachers' professional development and welfare nationwide, extending warm greetings and prayers for their well-being and that of their families.
First Lady Sajidha Mohamed also shared her greetings on X, describing teachers as nurturers and guardians who pass knowledge and skills across generations. She highlighted that without teachers, society would have no future, no civilisation, and no hope, and prayed that the Maldives continues to be blessed with their dedicated service.
