Police have arrested three brothers from Laamu Maibaadhoo for the possession of narcotics, vapes, and other banned items in the Maldives.
They identified the brothers as 32-year-old Nashwan Mohamed, 25-year-old Nahuzan Mohamed, and 22-year-old Nabuhan Mohamed.
Police said three apartments were searched under a court order in an operation targeting four people.
They said that during the operation, a large number of prohibited items, channels used on various social media platforms to sell the items, and the mobile phones of the four were seized under a court order.
A large amount of vape, suspected drugs, MVR 111,880, and other prohibited items were recovered from the motorcycle driven by one of the suspects.
Authorities said Nashwan and Nazuhan were released with conditions, while Nabuhan was remanded for 3 days.
Police are further investigating the case.
