Police have arrested a Bangladeshi national for stabbing a Nepalese woman in Hulhumale' yesterday.
Police reported that a 21-year-old Nepalese woman was injured in a stabbing that happened in Hulhumale' yesterday and that the victim was taken to the hospital.
They confirmed that the victim has been released from the hospital after treatment.
Today, the Police said that a 25-year-old Bangladeshi man named Jahangir Mia has been arrested for stabbing the woman. Police said that the man was located after they went through the CCTV footage from the area and through other investigations.
They said the man was arrested yesterday in Hulhumale' Phase 2.
Police also said that the suspect has been remanded in custody till his trial by the court at his remand hearing.
Police continue to investigate the case.
