The Presidential Medal and Prize for Huffaz will be awarded on the eve of the 27th of Ramadan.
The presentation will coincide with the special ceremony organised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, during which the National Centre for the Holy Quran confers ranks.
Last year, the Presidential Medal and Prize for Huffaz were presented at the official event commemorating the day the Maldives embraced Islam.
This year, the day the Maldives embraced Islam falls on the 24th of September, a public holiday.
