President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed two members to the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives, in accordance with Article 190(b) of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives and Section 5(a) of the Human Rights Commission Act (Act No. 6/2006).
Mohamed Shafeeg Mahmood and Ahmed Magsoom were formally appointed as members of the Commission, at a special ceremony held this morning at the President’s Office.
Prior to their appointment, both members took the oath of office before Supreme Court Justice Hon Uz Mohamed Saleem. Following the oath taking, the President presented the newly appointed members with their official letters of appointment.
