Housing Ministry says Fahi Dhiriulhunn Corporation FDC will take over the agreement signing and handover process of the 4,000 flats to be given under the Gedhoruveriya Housing Scheme.
In an announcement today, the Ministry said that it has already started sharing information about the flat recipients with FDC.
The Ministry said the signing process will be conducted with priority given to the towers that have been completed and are ready for handover. It further stated that only FDC will be contacting the recipients about the handover process.
The ministry also noted that those sent to the FDC for signing the agreement will be notified through the “Gedhoruveriya portal”, adding that neither the ministry nor the FDC will contact those who are not so notified by the portal.
The Construction Minister has said before that work for 1,000 out of the 4,000 flats would be finished by July and that they would be handed over within the month.
The Minister also said that the flats would be handed over as per the list compiled by the former government but those who are ineligible for the flats have been removed.
