Police have released Raud Ahmed Zilal from their custody for a second time in two weeks.
Raud is under custody after he was arrested in connection with the case of a young woman falling onto the rooftop of a house in Male'.
Police said today that the suspect was released from their custody last night since his case has now been forwarded to the Prosecutor General's Office.
They added that the suspect was released after consultations with the Prosecutor General's Office.
The 21-year-old, who was last seen with the victim Hawwa Yumn, was initially arrested on the 24th of last month.
After that, the Criminal Court remanded him in custody four times before his release on the 22nd of this month. However, he was re-arrested on the same day and then was remanded in custody for another five days.
Police have said before that on the night that Yumn had fallen from the 9th floor of H. Fentonia, she fought with the suspect.
They also said that the suspect was questioned about the victim's whereabouts to which he answered that he did not know where she was and that she may have fallen off the building.
