The Family Court says a whopping 53 marriages have been scheduled for today, as today's date is one of the most appealing numerical combinations on the calendar this year.
Today is the 25th of May of 2025 (25-5-2025).
The Court said that today is one of the highest number of marriage contracts scheduled to be performed in the court so far this year.
It said that 23 marriages will take place within official hours, while another 36 weddings will take place after official hours.
In addition, the Family Court has made special arrangements to facilitate those going to court today. A tent has been set up outside the court, and seating arrangements have been made for those going to the court.
Holding marriage ceremonies and receptions on appealing dates has become a trend in the Maldives in recent years.
