Many have queued for Immigration's walk-in interviews, which began today at Galolhu School in Male'.

Immigration announced last week its plan to hold the walk-in interviews to select 50 immigration officers. The interview which began at 09:00 this morning will continue till 5:00 in the evening.

At the very first stage of the interview, qualified candidates are identified and given a token number. The number will be available at the school and on the Immigration website.

Conditions for the job are:

  • Grade of "D" in at least two subjects in a secondary or equivalent examination
  • At least a grade of "C" in Dhivehi Language from a Secondary or Higher Secondary School Certificate
  • Must have achieved an MNQF Level III Certificate
  • Must be younger than 40 years

Applicants are urged to bring their completed job application form, CV, copy of ID card, and educational certificates to the interview.

A winding queue was seen outside Galolhu School where the interviews are being held, and many of the individuals in the queue were youths.
