Police have confirmed that the Criminal Court has remanded Raud Ahmed Zilal in custody for the 4th time since he was arrested last month in connection with the case of a young woman who fell on the rooftop of a building in Male'.
Raud, who was last seen with the victim Hawwa Yumn, was arrested on the 24th of last month.
He was initially remanded for five days and then was remanded for another 10 days when the first five days were over. In his third hearing, the Criminal Court remanded him in custody for another five days.
In the latest update, Police said today that Raud was taken to the Criminal Court after the five days had passed and that the Court has once again renewed his remand custody.
Police confirmed that this time, Raud was given 20 days in custody.
Raud is the only suspect apprehended in the case, though the victim's family alleged that more people were involved in her fall.
