Police say a 40-year-old man was stabbed in Male' last night.
They said that the incident happened near the Chandelier bookshop on Sabu Dheli Magu and that the incident was reported around 08:30 last night.
Police did not give any details about the extent of his injuries but said that the man had a history of drug abuse.
They added that they were further investigating the case.
Recently, stabbings and other attacks have increased in the capital Male'. Last April, a man was critically injured when he was stabbed near a cafe in Maafannu.
