Police have seized the phones of all the persons of interest related to the case of a young woman allegedly falling from the 9th floor of a house in Male' onto the building next door.
The 21-year-old woman is currently being treated for serious injuries she suffered in the fall, and yesterday, reports came out that she would be transferred to Malaysia for further treatment.
Last Wednesday, the Police released the identities of 9 individuals, including the victim, who could be involved in the case, and they also arrested one of the individuals for refusing to cooperate with the investigation.
21-year-old Raud Zilal has since been remanded in custody for 5 days.
Today, Police said they have seized the phones of all 9 individuals allegedly involved in the case. Apart from the victim and the suspect Raud, the rest of the individuals are alleged to have been present at a drug-fueled party held on the 17th of this month in a house in Male'.
Investigators believe that both the victim and Raud got intoxicated at this party, and after which they made their way to the house from which the girl allegedly fell.
Police have also seized the passports of those being investigated in this case and denied reports yesterday that one of the individuals have left the country.
