President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that his ultimate goal is to transform the Maldives into a developed nation, driven by the full participation of its youth.

He shared this vision in the first episode of the special social media podcast, Spot On!, which was released today, targeting the Maldivian youth population.

Young people constitute roughly one-third of the country's population, and the President delivered an array of hopeful messages for them while responding to questions directed at him. He expressed that his greatest hope is to see youth fully engaged in shaping the nation's future, especially as the Maldives evolves into a digital economy.

While acknowledging that young people already play a crucial role, he voiced his desire to see them leading across all areas. He also highlighted his aspiration for every young Maldivian to grow into a proud citizen who values their national identity and Islamic faith.

During the episode, the President inquired about what youth primarily expect from the Government and shared the steps his Administration is taking to address their concerns. He emphasised that he speaks with honesty and transparency, and reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling the promises he has made to the youth.

This youth-focused podcast featured five questions submitted by young people, all of which the President answered with confidence. The episode also included more casual segments in which he demonstrated his familiarity with modern youth slang and communication styles.

Additionally, the President shared fond memories and personal experiences from his own youth, offering a more relatable glimpse into his early life.
