President Dr Mohamed Muizzu conferred the Order of the Dignified Rule of Muleege Dynasty (O.D.R.M.D) to the Chief Executive of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Murshid.
He was presented with the laurels at an official ceremony held at the President's office this morning.
The Order of the Dignified Rule of the Muleege Dynasty commemorates the rule of Al-Sultan Muhammed Shamsuddin.
The President made the decision to honour Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Murshid in recognition of his extensive efforts to advance the generous assistance and support extended by the Saudi Fund for Development towards the welfare and progress of the people of Maldives.
The Order was presented according to the powers granted to the President under Article 115 of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives and Section 3 of Law 1/97.
