Police have confirmed that a man died after an accident in Laamu Maandhoo.
Police said a motorcycle went out of control and crashed in the Maandho Bend area at around 1:40 pm last night.
They said that 30-year-old Ibrahim Nauzam from Laamu Maabaidhoo was injured in the accident and was rushed to the hospital last night.
They confirmed that the youth succumbed to his injuries around 08:45 this morning.
Police added that they were further investigating the case.
Traffic accidents have been consistently rising across the country, with Police statistics showing that 829 accidents have occurred so far this year.
