Police have arrested two individuals after they were caught trying to smuggle 54 bottles of alcohol.
They said that the Police in Hulhumale' conducted an operation last night operation during which a vehicle suspected of transporting alcohol was inspected.
Police said that upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered 54 bottles of what is believed to be alcohol.
They said that as a result of the search, the vehicle had been towed, and two individuals had been arrested. Police identified the suspects as two Sri Lankan nationals.
Police added that they were further investigating the case.
