Immigration Authorities have detained 8 foreigners who were working illegally in the Greater Male' in its second raid in two days.
Immigration said that its task force, in its operations to track down illegal immigrants, yesterday searched the Social Center and the Ferry Terminal area.
It said that they detained 8 immigrants from the area who were living and working in the Maldives illegally.
On Monday night, Immigration officials raided four immigrant accommodation blocks in Hulhumale' and detained 8 other illegal immigrants.
Immigration has teamed with other law enforcement agencies to apprehend foreigners who are working in the Maldives illegally without proper documentation.
