External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar engaged in a series of high-level discussions with international leaders on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue 2025 in New Delhi. These meetings focused on a range of global issues, including bilateral cooperation, nuclear safety, and regional partnerships.

Jaishankar met Latvia’s Foreign Minister, Baiba Braze, and appreciated her perspectives on Ukraine's developments and India’s relationship with the European Union. "Glad to meet FM Baiba Braze of Latvia. Appreciate her insights on Ukraine and our ties with the EU," Jaishankar wrote on X.

In a separate meeting, he spoke with Antigua and Barbuda’s Foreign Minister, Chet Greene, on topics like health, education, sports, and capacity building. Jaishankar described the conversation as “good,” highlighting the ongoing cooperation between the two countries in these areas.

Jaishankar also met with Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). They discussed critical issues surrounding nuclear safety and non-proliferation. “Delighted to meet Director General of IAEA Rafael Mariano Grossi today at the Raisina Dialogue 2025. Discussed nuclear safety and non-proliferation issues,” Jaishankar noted.

Another significant discussion took place with Maldives Foreign Minister Abdulla Khaleel, where they reviewed the progress of bilateral cooperation between India and the Maldives. Jaishankar expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing partnership, stating, “Glad to meet Minister Abdulla Khaleel of Maldives. Reviewed the progress of our bilateral cooperation.”

Earlier in the day, Jaishankar also met Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, and expressed his appreciation for Sybiha’s assessment of the peace negotiations. Jaishankar also highlighted Ukraine's newly inaugurated Consulate General in Mumbai.

Further, Jaishankar held talks with Thailand’s Foreign Minister, Maris Sangamon, where they focused on areas like digital cooperation, connectivity, food security, and BIMSTEC. He shared, "Great meeting FM Maris of Thailand today in New Delhi. We had a productive exchange on our digital, connectivity, food security cooperation, as well as BIMSTEC."

Jaishankar’s discussions with Peru's Foreign Minister, Elmer Schialer Salcedo, revolved around enhancing bilateral and multilateral ties. The two leaders also witnessed an agreement exchange between the National Archives of India and the General Archives of Peru.

“It was a pleasure interacting with FM Elmer Schialer Salcedo of Peru. We discussed avenues for deepening our cooperation in political, economic, and infrastructure sectors, and strengthening our multilateral engagement. We also witnessed the exchange of an agreement on information exchange and documentation between our national archives,” Jaishankar commented.

The Raisina Dialogue 2025, which took place from March 17-19 in New Delhi, is hosted by the Observer Research Foundation in collaboration with India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
