Police say they have launched an investigation after it received reports that a boy had been burnt in an incident.

Police said they received a tip-off that a 13-year-old boy was being treated for burns.

They also said that they launched an investigation into the incident on the 23rd of this month.

Police did not give any information about the findings of the incident but added that the boy was being treated at Hulhumale' Hospital.
