Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel departed today to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on an official visit from 29 to 31 January 2025, on the invitation of His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia.
The Foreign Ministry said that during the visit, Foreign Minister Dr. Khaleel will hold official discussions with Foreign Minister His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud and review the longstanding and close brotherly ties of friendship and cooperation between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia and also explore new areas of future collaborations between the two countries.
It also said that Minister Dr. Khaleel will meet with the Minister of Commerce of Saudi Arabia, and explore opportunities to enhance collaboration in trade and investments between the two countries.
The Ministry noted that this visit underscores the Maldives' steadfast commitment to deepening the brotherly ties with Saudi Arabia with a focus on expanding cooperation across key sectors.
Foreign Minister Dr. Khaleel is accompanied by Dr. Hala Hameed, Secretary, Bilateral, and Khadeeja Najeeha, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
