Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, departed yesterday for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on an official visit, on the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan
The Foreign Ministry said that during the visit Minister Dr. Khaleel will engage in high-level discussions with His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, to enhance bilateral relations, review the broad spectrum of bilateral cooperation and explore avenues for future collaboration.
It further said that the Minister will also have meetings with other dignitaries of the UAE government to explore collaborative initiatives, focusing on fostering partnerships and advancing mutual interests.
This visit reflects the enduring bilateral relationship between the Maldives and the UAE and highlights shared aspirations for development, innovation, and prosperity.
Abdullah Hameed, Ambassador-at-Larg,e and Mariyam Reesha, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs accompanied Minister Dr. Khaleel.
