Maldives Meteorological Services, the Met Office says weather and sea conditions are expected to improve gradually over the next 48 hours.
However, it said that rainfall is expected in north-central Maldives today.
In its daily weather update, the Met Office said scattered showers with few heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected in north and central atolls.
Gusts of up to 35 miles per hour are also expected during showers in north and central Atolls.
The Met Office said moderate seas are expected and that they might become rough during showers.
The weather office reported that apart from a few showers, generally fine weather is expected in the southern Atolls.
Heavy downpours in the capital Male' nearly submerged the low-lying island as authorities struggled to drain water from different areas in Male'.
The subsequent flooding wreaked havoc in Male with almost all the major roads flooded. Officials reported they drained 1 ton of water from Male' alone yesterday.
