Authorities have found a body of a dead man in the lagoon near Hulhumale' fire station.
Police said they responded to a call stating that an unconscious was seen floating in the Hulhumale' lagoon and that the man was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Police cited the hospital to report that the man was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
Police had not confirmed the identity of the deceased and it is not clear whether or not the man was local.
Last September, a man was found dead in the sea outside the capital Male'.
