The Maldives has defended the World Travel Award WTA for World's Leading Destination for the 5th time.
The Maldives received this award at the World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2024 held at Funchal, Madeira.
Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal and top industry officials were on hand to accept the award on behalf of the Maldives.
The Minister said via a post on X that this incredible achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of everyone in the industry.
He went on to say that he was proud to accept this prestigious award on behalf of the country's tourism industry.
WTA was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward, and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.
