Police say a local man has been assaulted with a sharp object in a shop in Male'.
They said that they received the report of the assault around 10:00 in the night and that the shop was located on Dhilbahaaru Magu of Male'.
Police said that the victim of the assault was rushed to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital last night and cited the hospital to say that the victim has been discharged after being treated for the injuries.
Police stated that no arrests have been made in the case.
They assured that they were further investigating the case.
The motive for the assault is yet unclear and police did not divulge any more information about the case.
