Police say another accident has been reported in Hulhumale' a day after a road collision claimed the life of a 23-year-old man.
They said that earlier this morning a motorcycle collided with a car in Phase 2 of Hulhumale'.
Police said that the motorcycle rider was injured in the collision and had to be treated in the hospital for his injuries. Police added that they were further investigating the case.
In the early hours of Friday, a collision between a motorcycle riding the wrong way and a speeding car resulted in the death of the man named Hassan Samah who rode the motorcycle.
The crash prompted President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to instruct authorities to take action to prevent such tragedies.
He said that the authorities have been asked today to take the following measures to control illegal speeding, and use of noisy vehicles while driving by modifying the vehicle or the type of vehicle and protecting the public areas.
