Male' City Council says the Eid Mosque in Male' was hit again by robbers last night.
On Wednesday, the Council reported that the mosque closed down for renovation, was robbed on Tuesday and that 13 lights and cables for 8 fans were stolen from the property.
Today, the Council reported yet again that the mosque was robbed last night too. It said that 8 lights installed at the mosque were stolen in last night's theft.
The Council also said that it had lodged a report at police over the robbery.
The mosque has been robbed multiple times over the last few months.
Authorities said that last June alone, 11 fans were stolen from the mosque. A suspect was also arrested because of the robberies at the mosque.
The number of theft and robberies from mosques have been increasing over the last few months and authorities have not been able to take appropriate action against the growing number of cases.
