The Bank of Maldives BML has resolved the issues that crippled its POS and ATMs today.
The country woke up to the news that BML internet banking, POS, and ATM services were down, nearly bringing the country to a standstill.
BML said earlier that they were facing interruptions to POS, ATM, Internet, and Mobile Banking services due to a technical issue. BML said that customers using BML credit and prepaid cards and those using cards issued by other banks can continue to use our POS network.
However, this meant that debit card users could not use their cards on POS machines and ATMs and BML customers were also unable to use the BML internet Banking App as it was down for maintenance.
The issue was resolved hours after the initial disruption.
BML said a while ago that its services on ATM and POS have resumed. BML also said that it is continuing to work on resolving the issues impacting its Internet and Mobile Banking services.
