Maldives National Defence Force MNDF says 6 sea incidents were reported last night as parts of the country experience a bout of bad weather.
Earlier today, MNDF said via 'X' that its Central Area Command, Coast Guard Third Squadron is still responding to three incidents at sea due to bad weather.
MNDF didn't give any details of the 6 incidents that were reported nor the 3 incidents they were attending today.
Maldives Meteorological Services Met Office issued white alerts for the Southern Atolls yesterday as well as earlier today.
Today's alert was issued from Thaa Atoll to Gaafu Atoll from 04:30 to 09:30 am. The alert said that heavy rain and thunderstorms with gusts of 40 mph was expected during the period.
