Male' Water and Sewerage Company Ltd MWSC has launched an advanced odor control system at MWSC's sewer pump station near IGMH, which will address odor issues faced by surrounding areas.
The system was launched by the Managing Director of MWSC Abdul Matheen at a ceremony held earlier this morning.
MWSC said that work to address odor issues at sewage pumping stations is already in progress.
It said that the old air filtering mechanism is being replaced with a more advanced odor control system. MWSC assured that this system will reduce odors by up to 99 percent, creating a fresher and more sustainable environment.
MWSC also said that by the end of 2025, all pumping stations in Male' will enjoy this upgrade, followed by those in Hulhumale'.
