State Trading Organization STO has lowered the price of diesel and petrol it sells at local sheds.
It said that from today onwards, customers can buy a liter of diesel for MVR 13. 92 and a liter of petrol for MVR 13.98 at local sheds.
Before today, STO has been selling a liter of diesel for MVR 14.62 and a liter of petrol for MVR 14.33.
This means STO shaved off 70 laari from a liter of diesel and another 35 laari from a liter of petrol.
STO said that it has always worked to provide its services to the people sustainably.
It further said that the price of oil in the country will continue to change with the changes in the price of oil in the world market.
