Privatization and Corporization Board PCB has confirmed the management of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation MMPRC has been handed over to its Deputy Managing Director Bassam Adam.
MMPRC's management was handed over to Basam after the Managing Director of MMPRC Fathimath Thaufeeq was dismissed from her post.
PCB confirmed her dismissal but did not give a reason why she was fired from her post months after being appointed as the MD of MMPRC.
Fathimath Thaufeeq was appointed as the Managing Director of MMPRC last December.
Her dismissal follows the resignation of the Chairperson of MMPRC Aisha Nurain Janah last night.
PCB has confirmed that Nurain submitted her resignation letter and that it has accepted her resignation. The media today reported that another member of the MMPRC board had also resigned.
Rafil Mohamed who represented MATI on the MMPRC board resigned today without giving a specific reason for his resignation.
