Police have begun searching for a man missing from Male'. They are searching for Ahmed Aiman from MA. Boalhakinkirimaa who is 30 years of age.
They search they launched the search operation after Aiman's family reported him missing. Aiman was last seen on the 16th of this month around 21:30 at his home in Male'.
This has been confirmed by his family. Police urged the public to contact them via police hotline 332 2111 if they have any information about his whereabouts.
Missing persons' cases have grown in recent months with both adults as well as children being reported missing frequently.
While most cases have been resolved successfully, some result in tragedy as in the case of Mohamed Azhan who was reported missing in September of 2022.
His remains were found the following month in a land plot yet to be developed in Phase 1 of Hulhumale'. He was reported missing from Phase II of Hulhumale. His case remains unsolved.
