The Chief Operating Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development SFD Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad has arrived in the Maldives on an official trip to the country.
Upon his arrival in the Maldives, CEO Al-Marshad met with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu at his office earlier today. The CEO also signed the visitor's book at the President's Office.
CEO Al-Marshad is also expected to participate in a high-level event organized by the Finance Ministry today.
The Ministry said that in the ceremony the Maldives and Saudi Arabia officials would sign agreements for developmental projects in Hulhumale' which are funded by SFD.
The officials are also expected to launch the development projects funded by the Saudi Development Fund SFD.
The CEO of SFD arrives in the Maldives a day after President Muizzu returned to the Maldives after performing an Umrah alongside his wife on the gracious hospitality of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
During this visit from May 10 to 15, the President was accompanied by the Minister of Islamic Affairs; Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Head Imaam of the Islamic Centre; Sheikh Mohamed Latheef, Chief of Staff, the President's Office; Abdulla Fayaz, Minister at the President’s Office for Presidential Affairs; Ali Arif and Minister at the President’s Office; Abdulla Nasir.
