Housing Development Corporation HDC has donated MVR 1 million to Gaza which is under a horrendous siege by Israel.
Maldives-based international aid organization Internation Aid Campaign IAC confirmed that HDC had donated MVR 1 million to the Gaza relief fund as a form of Sadaqah.
IAC highlighted the support given by HDC and thanked it for its contribution. It assured that it would make sure that the funds are received by those in Gaza who are desperate for food and other necessities after months of Israeli attacks,
Schools and offices in the Maldives have donated to the Gaza fund since Israel began its attacks against the Palestinian enclave last October.
Gaza's Health Ministry said at least 33,843 Palestinians have been killed and 76,575 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
The ministry added that 46 people were killed and 110 injured in the past 24 hours.
