Earlier today, a motorcycle collided with a passenger bus from Maldives Transport and Contracting Company MTCC on the Hulhumale' Highway and caused an accident.
Police said it received the report of the incident around 08:34 a.m. and that the collision occurred near the airport traffic light on the Hulhumale' to Male' side of the Highway.
Police said that no injuries were reported in the incident.
A picture of the incident is now circulating on social media and it shows that the motorcycle had turned upside down during the collision with the double-decker MTCC bus. However, the picture also shows that both the vehicles had not sustained major damage due to the collision.
Police added that they were further investigating the incident.
Traffic accidents have grown exceedingly frequent in the Maldives recently, especially in the Greater Male' area where authorities are working to curb the massive traffic congestion in the area.
