The Vice President of the Elections Commission Ismail Habeeb has left the Commission after 21 years of service at the Electoral Watchdog.
Habeeb left the Commission after completing two terms as a member of the Elections Commission. Before being appointed as a member of the Elections Commission, Habeeb took on different responsibilities at the Commission for about 11 years.
Announcing the decision to leave in a post on 'X', Habeeb said that the 21 years of experience he had gathered while serving as an employee of the Commission and organizing general elections, as well as a member of the commission in service of the people, can never be forgotten.
The Elections Commission has appointed a Vice President to the Commission after Habeeb left the Commission today.
Elections Commission member Ali Nashaath was appointed Vice President of the Commission at the 820th General Meeting of the Commission held today.
Nashaath has already completed one term as a member of the Elections Commission and he was appointed for his second term last November.
