President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has promised to build 40,000 housing units during his five years in office in Haa Dhaalu Nolhivaranfaru and that this would include a good quality housing project on the Northern island.
The President made these remarks while speaking with the residents of Haa Dhaalu Nolhivaranfaru during his current tour of several islands in the Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu, Shaviyani, and Noonu Atolls.
President Muizzu emphasized the importance of Nolhivaranfaru accumulating a medium-term and long-term plan to consolidate the population. He also noted that the harbor expansion project will be tailored to the residents’ wants.
Referring to strengthening the health care system, the President elaborated that the island requires essential specialized doctors and the availability of high-quality laboratory services to establish a health center.
The President also announced that a new school, including a multipurpose hall, will be built on the island.
In his remarks, the President reiterated his commitment to implementing all pledged plans while managing the economic situation and budget.
