Ministry of Economic Development and Trade says over 290 participants with representation from 130 foreign companies took part in the Invest Maldives 2024 Dubai forum held in UAE.

The Ministry said in a statement that it had successfully held the 1-day forum which was officiated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu who also gave a keynote speech at the forum.

It said that this investment forum showcased key strategic projects of the government and that the main objective was to create a conducive arrangement for networking and interactions at the government-to-business and business-to-business levels.

It noted that over 290 participants with representation from over 130 foreign companies focusing on a wide range of investment areas including ports and logistics, renewable energy, real estate, tourism, and infrastructure attended the forum.

The Ministry said that the Forum concluded with an interaction session where participants were provided the opportunities to interact with high-level officials of the government and delve into the details of the factors contributing to the economic growth of the Maldives.

It further said that a networking session was also facilitated between the participants of both countries, enabling connections and partnerships to further explore investment potentials.

This is the second Invest Maldives Forum organized by this Administration this year. The first one was held in China in January this year, in which the President also delivered a Keynote Address.
