Pakistan has assured its support to address the pressing development needs of the Maldives.

This assurance was given during a phone call between President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and Pakistani Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul Haq Kakar earlier today.

During the call, both leaders discussed ways to fortify the bilateral ties between the two nations. They discussed the top priorities of the countries and spoke about enhancing cooperation in the international arena.

Speaking with the President, the caretaker Prime Minister additionally conveyed his support and assistance to the Maldives’ efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change.

The Maldives established diplomatic relations with Pakistan on July 26, 1966.
