Former President Mohamed Nasheed denies him or his daughter Meera operating the controversial Social Media Account under the name of 'Hassan Kurusee'.
The former President, who uses alia accounts to post on political matters, made the statement after social media activists accused his daughter Meera of being behind the 'Hassan Kurusee' account.
In a post on X, Nasheed said that for the record he did not operate, control, or have anything to do with the Hassan Kurusee account on X nor does my daughter, Meera.
He added that he does not agree with the anti-India views that the account is spreading.
Earlier, his daughter Meera also denied operating the Hassan Kurusee account and chided those who 'dragged' her into the mess.
But Meera has since deactivated her account on 'X' as many online users especially from India targeted her on the social media platform.
In the latest posts, Hassan Kurusee account holder denies being Meera and said that the user has never even met Meera. The user also claimed that Nasheed's daughter has room to take legal action against users from India for the accusations made against her.
The identity of the enigmatic online user has always been a mystery for the locals with most accusing Nasheed of operating the faux account.
