The National Carrier of Maldives, Maldivian is seeking to add a Boeing B787-8 Aircraft to its fleet as the carrier prepares to launch long-haul operations across Europe and China National.
Maldivian said that it was inviting eligible parties to submit proposals to prove one Boeing B787-8 Aircraft on a dry lease basis.
It further said that the preferred lease period of the aircraft would be for 6 years as per the terms and conditions set out in the RFP.
The Airline said that bid registration is open for interested parties up to 25th January 2024, 14:30.
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner is a long-haul, wide-body, twin-engine commercial aircraft designed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is part of the Boeing 787 family, which includes various models designed to offer improved fuel efficiency, passenger comfort, and operational flexibility.
The 787-8 is the first model in this family and played a pivotal role in revolutionizing modern aviation.
Aviator Maldives reported that Maldivian in all operated two Airbus A320 family jet aircraft since commencing jet operations. However; the carrier did not extend the lease period of the Airbus A321 recently and the current and only remaining Airbus A320s lease period itself will expire soon.
