The Parliament Member for Inguraidhoo Constituency Hassan Ahmed has joined the ruling People's National Congress PNC.
He handed over his membership application form to the President of PNC President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
In a post on X, MP Hassan said that starting today he would be working for PNC and that he would remain sincerely with the party.
Though MP Hasaan joined PNC, he had already started a campaign to win the MDP for a re-election in the next Parliamentary election.
MP Hassan follows 13 of his colleagues who switched their alliances from MDP to PNC last month.
Following their decision, the Progressive Congress Coalition has 18 MPs that represent the coalition in the parliament now. This includes 2 MPs from PPM and 16 MPs from PNC.
