President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with former President Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan today at the President’s Office.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed social and political issues in the country. They also spoke on other initiatives and programs aimed at the betterment of the people and the nation.
Yesterday President Muizzu met with former President Uz Maumoon Abdul Gayoom (G.O.D.R.G).

Earlier this month, President Muizzu met with the leaders of the major political partys in the country. This includes the Leader of the Jumhooree Party Qasim Ibrahim, the Leader of the Maldives Development Alliance MDA Siyam Ahmed, the Leader of the Maldives National Party Mohamed Nazim, and the leader of the Democrats Hassan Latheef.
Notably, President Muizzu did not meet with the President of the Maldives Democratic Party MDP, former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
It is unclear whether the President would meet with his predecessor during his series of meeting with former Presidents.
