President Dr Mohamed Muizzu announced the decision to launch a dedicated portal on the President's Office's official website to facilitate direct communication with citizens, where all citizens can ask questions and submit their grievances, ideas, and hopes directly to the President.
The President made this announcement while speaking at a ceremony held at Dharubaaruge last night by the Local Government Authority (LGA) to give away the 'Kangathi Awards 2023', which recognizes the local councils' advancement, participation, and improvement.
The President reiterated that he would always stand by the people and conveyed his love for all citizens, stating that every Maldivian is equal in his eyes and that he would not discriminate against any citizen based on their political affiliations, gender, lineage, island, or region.
President Muizzu further affirmed that he would work closely with the people and listen to their needs and concerns, stating that he would meet with them frequently and visit all the islands in the country.
He added that delegations, inclusive of Ministers and officials of companies, will travel to all the islands starting this weekend to check on the condition of the people.
