President Dr Mohamed Muizzu appointed Uz Ali Abdul Latheef as a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) earlier this morning.
The ceremony to present the letter of appointment was held at the President’s Office.
This appointment was made by the President by the powers vested in him under Article 158 of the Maldivian Constitution, Section 3 Paragraph 10 of Law No. 10/2008 and in line with The Judicial Commission Act, and Section 69(a) of Law No. 5/2019, of the Legal Professions Act.
The Honorable Supreme Court Justice Dr Mohamed Ibrahim administered the oath of office. After the oath-taking ceremony, the President presented the official letter of appointment to the newly inducted member.
